1. How much does it cost to join the PTA?
$15.00 for a family membership each school year.
2. Does becoming a member mean I have to volunteer?
Absolutely not! We love when our families are able to volunteer, but being a PTA member doesn't require any time commitment from you at all. You can come to all of the monthly PTA meetings, or none of them; all of the events, one of them, or none of them, and even if you do attend, feel free to come and enjoy the event with you PLE Tiger, you are never required to volunteer for/work an event.
3. What do we get when we become a PTA member?
Your membership fee goes back into PLE PTA accounts to ensure our PTA-sponsored events remain free** for our families. The PTA also provides a school directory to all dues-paying members.
**The School Carnival in the Spring is the only exception, but admission and concession rates are kept to a minimum and well-publicized in advance so our families can plan ahead.
4. When/where are the monthly PTA meetings?
Generally, the PTA meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month during the school year in the PLE Library. The PTA board members meet from 5:30-6:00 and then the general meeting begins at 6:00. If there is a change to time or location, that information will be posted to our social media pages and this website.
5. Why do I have to be a PTA member to get access to the directory?
The directory is a PTA product; it is neither compiled by nor distributed by PLE. As such, you must pay dues and complete the associated google form for us to know where to send the directory as we do not have access to that information otherwise.
6. I paid my dues but still haven't received the directory
